I thought I posted, must've not. I like Cowboy Bebop also (but wish he'd get a break, I mean he should be dead by now). If were talking movies I'm watching the .hack series now what a reversal SIGN (horrible plot movement, but great ending) Legend of the Twilight Bracelet (great plot movement, horrible ending).

That's a hard one- I'd probably have to go with Naruto, though I've watched a lot that I've enjoyed. I recently got FMA from a friend, but haven't found the time to watch it yet.

Wow, well.. it's impossible for me name just One anime I like. So, I will comprise a short list...
Trigun - Has to be no.1 on my list for concept and coolness value. I really wish Nightow would put out a sequel already...
Neon Genesis Evangelion - It's sheer brilliance still amazes to this day. Just when you think you got the whole thing figured out it can still suprise you.
Cowboy Bebop - One of the better series I've seen, great story and characters. The movie was good, but I felt like it was missing something.
Macross Plus - The second anime i ever bought.
Excel Saga - Absolutely HILLARious, if you don't want to kill yourself by the third episode.
Serial Experiments Lain - Very cool, intriguing story.
Reuroni Kenshin - REally liked it, for the first 50 episodes... the last 40 or so seemed like they were dragging the series on too long.. in my humble opinion.
Escaflowne
Record of Lodoss War
Robotech
El - Hazzard
Ninja Scroll
Full Metal Alchemist is pretty good too.
and the list just goes on..

This list seems rather adequate. However I'll make some "outside" changes.
Bleach
Hikaru no Go
Elfen Lied
Well I know there are others but since my file server is down, I seriously don't remember the names. like Sennarc said, the list is rather extensive.

I like Trigun a lot too. It has to be my favorite anime. I also watch FMA and Cowboy bebop when I can. I thought Akira was a good anime movie. I also liked Ruroni Kenshin, but then it started to progress slowly. I never saw the end of it; its quite entertaining that Trigun is one of the best and its about him and his refusal to keep people and kenshin he goes from killing people to not.

Well I wouldn't consider Futurama and Family Guy anime, and Akira is a movie I can understand you not getting anything out of. There really isn't much to "get" from that movie. Also, DragonBall GT isn't really that incredible either, unless you really like DragonBall.
